Testing Manager - Wind Propulsion M/F
Chantiers de l'Atlantique continues its commitment to the decarbonization of maritime transport with the creation of the Wind Propulsion Department. This department designs and installs innovative propulsion systems based on SolidSail technology, a semi-rigid sail intended for cruise ships and cargo vessels. In this context, we are looking for a Testing Manager M/F to support the development and industrialization of SolidSail rigging systems. Responsible for the preparation, coordination, and execution of commissioning and testing activities for the rigging, from the assembly phases to delivery to the customer and operational feedback, your main missions are as follows: Preparation and management of commissioning Define the commissioning strategy for SolidSail rigging systems in connection with contractual commitments. Establish detailed schedules for commissioning and pre-commissioning activities in connection with the business teams. Identify and monitor the prerequisites necessary to start testing. Coordinate the interfaces necessary for commissioning activities with the assembly, automation, electrical, mechanical, and project teams. Participate in the preparation of interventions carried out at external shipyards. Development of methods and procedures Define a testing methodology common to the different SolidSail programs. Rely on the standards of the Testing department and adapt them to the specificities of the rigging. Execution of tests Organize and supervise the commissioning of electrical and hydraulic equipment. Supervise automation tests and functional validations in support of the Automation Manager. Coordinate quay trials. Prepare and conduct sea trials in support of the business manager and the constructing shipyard. Guarantee the traceability of results and the processing of identified reservations. Safety of operations Ensure the proper application of HSE rules during commissioning activities. Identify risks related to testing and define appropriate prevention measures. Verify safety prerequisites before each testing campaign. Ensure the coordination of stakeholders during commissioning operations. Functional animation of teams
With a generalist engineering background or a Merchant Marine profile, your taste for the field, your listening and communication skills, as well as your leadership, will allow you to be quickly operational. A good field communicator, you know how to work in a team. You demonstrate a strong sensitivity to safety.
You have proven experience in the field of commissioning / testing. A good level of English is required, both spoken and written. By joining us, it also means:
