Reporting to the Testing Manager, you are responsible for the operation of the machine during the ship's commissioning phase. Your main missions are as follows:

  • Monitoring of installations in service through rounds and use of the control and command system,
  • Supervision of a team of operators and passing of operational instructions,
  • Application of driving instructions and arrangement of networks (dewatering, refrigeration, steam distribution, air, oil,...)
  • Monitoring and management of the production and distribution of service utilities for the vessel (fluids, electricity),
  • Preparation and startup on order of the diesel alternators,
  • Assistance to the Testing Technicians within the framework of normal driving activities
  • Processing of alarms generated by the central PLC as quickly as possible,
  • Management of the mechanical and electrical logbook and reporting of the machine status at the end of the shift
  • Monitoring of analyses and treatment of refrigeration circuits and boiler water
  • Work mainly in rotating shifts 2X8, 3X8, 5X8 and participation in sea trials
  • You possess knowledge in power generation, propulsion and machine auxiliaries;
  • You enjoy working in a team;
  • You are sensitive to workplace safety;
  • You are comfortable in English (oral and written) to exchange with the client, the classification society and suppliers;
  • You master IT tools (Excel, Word).
