Responsibilities and Attributions

• Ensure that the Company is in compliance with all laws, regulations, sector procedures, licenses, authorizations, and obligations applicable to the development, implementation, operation, and commercialization of renewable energy projects;
• Analyze notices, rules, qualification requirements, schedules, guarantees, technical documentation, regulatory obligations, and other documents applicable to new electricity generation auctions and competitive processes, including wind, solar photovoltaic, and battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects;
• Support the regulatory qualification strategy and participation of new generation projects in auctions, capacity mechanisms, reserve energy processes, and other opportunities in the regulated sector, in coordination with the Development, Engineering, Commercial, Legal, and Finance areas;
• Monitor and coordinate regulatory processes with the Operador Nacional do Sistema Elétrico (ONS) applicable to projects under development, commissioning, and commercial operation, including access, integration, operational requirements, model validation, and other applicable procedures;
• Monitor ONS processes and regulatory developments related to generation constraints and curtailment affecting plants in commercial operation; analyze their causes and applicable regulatory treatment; evaluate operational and financial impacts; and support claims, technical positions, and mitigation strategies, when applicable;
• Monitor and support registration, modeling, migration, measurement, accounting, settlement, and other procedures related to generation projects before the Câmara de Comercialização de Energia Elétrica (CCEE), including the validation of project information and the coordination of regulatory and commercial pending issues;
• Evaluate regulatory and commercial alternatives between the Ambiente de Contratação Regulada (ACR) and the Ambiente de Contratação Livre (ACL), supporting recommendations related to energy commercialization, portfolio allocation, contracting structures, and associated regulatory risks;
• Analyze and support the structuring of self-production arrangements, including regulatory requirements, eligibility criteria, corporate and contractual interfaces, applicable charges and benefits, and impacts on project and portfolio strategies;
• Evaluate regulatory frameworks and business models for co-located and hybrid projects, including combinations of wind, solar photovoltaic, and BESS assets, considering access, connection, measurement, operation, commercialization, and other applicable regulatory requirements;
• Evaluate regulatory requirements and strategies for the integration of new assets into the Company's portfolio, including acquisitions, greenfield projects, expansions, repowering, hybridization, energy storage systems, and other new energy solutions;
• Work in close collaboration with the Operations, Engineering, Development, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and other internal areas, ensuring that project and operation activities are in compliance with applicable sector requirements and that regulatory obligations are duly considered in business decisions;
• Support the drafting and review of contracts, licenses, authorizations, regulatory documents, technical correspondence, and other documents related to the Company's operations and projects;
• Guide and ensure the adoption of regulatory best practices by the Company, the maintenance of adequate evidence of compliance, and the proactive identification and management of regulatory risks, deadlines, and obligations;
• Comply with all CGNBE policies, standards, and procedures, including those related to Compliance, Anti-bribery, Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health and Safety, as applicable to the role.

Requisites and Qualifications

Education: Completed higher education in Law, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.

Technical Knowledge: Experience and specialized knowledge in the Brazilian electricity sector regulation, including ANEEL, ONS, CCEE, EPE, energy commercialization, generation auctions, and renewable energy generation projects.

Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience, preferably in regulatory activities related to electricity generation, renewable energy, energy commercialization, or electricity sector institutions.

Competencies: Advanced English; strong analytical, writing, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills; ability to interpret regulatory and market documents; objective and organized profile; focus on process improvement and strategic analysis; and good time management skills.
