Job Description

You will join our service delivery center of excellence in Paris, specializing in Open technical engineering.

Within our various centers, we offer our clients an end-to-end strategic approach, from the definition of the outsourcing project to its implementation. We work with major players in various fields such as infrastructure, application development and maintenance, support, testing, as well as cloud and ERP.

Functions and responsibilities

As an expert database administrator, your main missions are as follows:

• Support projects, particularly regarding obsolescence, and support the transformation towards group standards
• Create databases in connection with the system administrator and the relevant project manager

• Implement database management software (adapt, administer, and maintain in an expert mode)
• Put data servers into operation and management (administer, automate, develop procedures, security and access authorization, optimize processing and queries, etc.)

• Define standards and norms for the use and operation of DBMS
• Qualify new versions of databases

• Plan and manage changes between applications and the offshore partner
• Adjust database parameters for optimal use

• Assist users (training, technical queries, scripting, etc.)
• Perform audits and monitor database performance

• Follow up on issues and resolution action plans.
• Participate in database automation via devops tooling.

Required qualities to succeed in this role

With a background in Computer Science or being self-taught, you have at least 5 years of experience within a client or project team.

You master the following technical skills:

• Oracle (Mandatory)
• SQL Server

• MySQL
• PostgreSQL

• DB2 LUW
• Teradata

You are or you have:

• Good listening, analysis, perspective-taking, and adaptability skills
• Good writing and reporting skills.

• Dynamism, rigor, and good interpersonal skills (frequent contact with clients).
• Proficiency in English
