At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a Team Lead General Ledger (m/f/d) to strengthen our team in Laatzen near Hannover.

Your Tasks:

• Responsibility for financial accounting according to HGB, including the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as well as participation in balance sheet planning
• Preparation of individual financial statements on a monthly and annual basis
• Active collaboration in the preparation and execution of the group consolidation
• Monitoring liquidity and managing payment transactions
• Active participation in projects in the finance area, particularly in the further development and digitalization of internal processes and systems
• Independent handling of tax topics such as the preparation of tax returns, tax calculations, and the support of tax audits together with our tax advisors
• Point of contact for internal and external partners such as auditors and tax advisors as well as authorities
• Functional and disciplinary leadership of the team

Your Profile:

• A degree in business administration with a focus on accounting / taxation or completed commercial training with further training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (IHK)
• Verifiable professional experience, especially in accounting according to HGB, ideally in corporate structures of upper mid-sized companies
• Several years of leadership experience of smaller teams
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as a problem-solving oriented and pragmatic mindset and hand-on mentality
• Very good knowledge of a common ERP system (preferably JD Edwards)
• Experience in the digitalization of business processes as well as knowledge of the consolidation software Lucanet would be an advantage
• Good English skills in speaking and writing
