Mechanical Design Project Manager (M/F)

Do you want to lead complete industrial projects while maintaining a strong technical and mechanical dimension?
Our client, an industrial SME specializing in the design and manufacture of custom equipment, is looking for a Mechanical Project Manager (M/F) to strengthen its design office.
The company works on high-value-added technical projects, from the definition of needs to the manufacture and installation of equipment at client sites, both in France and internationally.
Your Mission
As a true pilot of your business, you are the interface between the client and the various internal and external stakeholders of the project.
You take charge of your projects in their entirety, with a dual responsibility: technical and economic.
In this capacity, you will notably be required to: Analyze client specifications and identify the technical constraints of the project; Define suitable mechanical solutions and actively participate in the design of equipment; Perform or supervise the necessary studies, dimensioning, and calculations; Develop and validate technical and manufacturing files; Establish supplier specifications and participate in their selection; Manage procurement and monitor suppliers and subcontractors; Build and monitor the project schedule, ensuring compliance with costs, deadlines, and quality requirements; Coordinate the various stakeholders: designers, automation engineers, purchasing, manufacturing, suppliers, and service providers; Monitor the manufacturing of equipment in the workshop and at suppliers; Organize and monitor the various stages until shipment and on-site installation; Ensure the relationship with the client throughout the project; Monitor the economic aspects of the business until invoicing; Participate in feedback sessions and contribute to the improvement of existing equipment.
You will thus work on complete projects, from the initial studies to their realization in the field.

Profile Description:
With a higher education background in mechanics, industrial design, or mechanical engineering, you have successful experience in the design and/or management of industrial equipment projects.
Your background has allowed you to acquire solid skills in:
- 3D CAD mechanical design of assemblies and sub-assemblies
- Dimensioning and understanding of mechanical constraints
- Management of industrial projects or business
- Monitoring of manufacturing and suppliers
- Coordination of different technical trades.
Experience acquired in the fields of special machines, industrial equipment, handling, conveying, or automated systems will be a real asset.
You are proficient in a 3D CAD software. Knowledge of Inventor, Vault and/or AutoCAD will be appreciated but is not essential if you master an equivalent CAD environment.
You are able to communicate in English in a professional context, particularly with international suppliers and partners.
Travel within France and abroad is to be expected for the monitoring of certain projects.
