Shift Leader - E-Commerce (m/f/d) (Supply Chain Manager)

As Shift Leader - E-Commerce (m/f/d), you will take responsibility for a defined area in inbound or outbound logistics – and ensure smooth operations in day-to-day business. You will lead a team of employees in shift operations and work closely with Operations Management as well as adjacent departments.

Objective of the role

You ensure the trouble-free flow of all operational activities during the shift. In doing so, you take responsibility for process quality, order, and safety, and actively contribute to employee motivation and compliance with standards.

Your tasks

• Leadership and motivation of teams in the Inbound or Outbound area
• Close cooperation with our Operations Managers (m/f/d)
• Daily deployment planning, task distribution, and proper shift handover including documentation
• Ensuring compliance with process specifications, quality, safety, and order requirements
• Monitoring of performance indicators and derivation of improvement measures
• Carrying out inventories and stock samples
• Control and maintenance of transport, storage, and loading aids as well as picking technology
• Documentation and forwarding of damage cases including analysis and prevention
• Support in the induction of new employees and promotion of team development
• Close cooperation with Operations Management, Inventory Control, Planning, and Transport
• Participation in the operational implementation of peak phases

Your profile

• Completed studies in the field of Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or similar; alternatively, vocational training, ideally in the field of warehouse logistics, Logistikmeister (m/f/d)
• Professional experience in a comparable environment
• Leadership experience of larger teams of 100 employees and upwards
• Knowledge in the area of Inbound and/or Outbound
• Experience in handling SAP R3, WMS/ERP systems, and MS Office
• Authorization to operate industrial trucks as well as occupational medical suitability for shift work
• Independent thinking and acting, decision-making ability, teamwork, and temporal flexibility
• Good English skills in speaking and writing are mandatory; good German skills are an advantage
• Willingness to work in a shift system (currently early and late shifts)
