About the company

CETIM - Centre Technique des Industries Mécanique - is a technological accelerator that helps transform industry by bringing the best of research to French industrial players.

With more than 1,000 experts, Cetim supports the transformation of the productive ecosystem in France and internationally.

It offers its employees a stimulating work environment and numerous opportunities to contribute to major projects in sustainable development and the industry of the future.

Your tasks

Within the Performance Industrielle et Durable pole, the intern's main mission will be to perfect a demonstrator at our premises. This demonstrator (called CRFMA – Cellule Robotisée flexible, Mobile et Autonome) currently consists of a MiR mobile base, an On Robot gripper, and a Sensopart camera.

Its mission is to perform loading and unloading of ingots into dedicated locations.

The cycle is as follows The main objective of the internship is to close the demonstration loop so that it can operate without interruption.

To achieve this objective, the intern will have to

  • Create a functional specification for the modified cell
  • Make purchase requests for equipment (if necessary), or perform modifications
  • Modify the cell equipment (if necessary)
  • Modify the robot programs (MiR and UR)
  • Validate the modifications and present the results
  • Create a user manual.

Secondary missions that may be completed during the internship (subject to validation of the main mission)

Addition of functions to the CRFMA In addition to the demonstration running uninterruptedly, we want this cell to be capable of performing loading / unloading of parts (vices and even pallets) onto another machine located in the workshop.

To do this, both machines will need to be modified from both a hardware and software perspective.

Feeding a robotics database CETIM has a "Robothèque" which lists both projects carried out for clients and information on robots. The intern will have to complete this database with information to be retrieved from our servers, the web, or by contacting solution providers.

Continuing the development of an HMI During a previous internship, an HMI prototype was developed. This prototype allows for the visual anticipation of robot movements in order to improve interactivity with nearby humans. The intern will have to continue these developments to make the equipment more robust and more industrial.

Other missions Other occasional missions may be assigned during the internship (monitoring, participation in robotics meetings, attending trade fairs, etc.)
