Production Supervisor

Salary Negotiable +Performance Bonus Manchester Certain Advantage is partnering with a well-established engineering business to recruit an experienced Production Supervisor on a full time basis . In this role, you will be responsible for supervising a team of operators and apprentices – including work allocation within a metal manufacturing environment. Relevant Experience Required Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place. Minimum 3 years’ experience within a production supervisor role Ideally from a metallic (sheet metal or machining) manufacturing environment Main responsibilities: Responsible for supervising a team of operators and apprentices including work allocation. Working closely with the production schedulers to plan capacity and ensure that the required operations are completed on time Ensure that lean manufacturing operational practices are in place and that wastes [8 waste] are eliminated Actively resolve operational issues and ensure high levels of quality are achieved Personal skills/qualifications: Be pro-active when problem solving, effective decision making, pragmatic and solution based forward thinking Must be highly professional when interacting internally and externally; verbally + email communication and be able to manage time and tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Requirements: Due to the nature of the work, you must have the ability to obtain and maintain UK Security Clearance (SC) - must meet standard UK nationality/residency eligibility requirements for site access.
