Apply Online About the role An opportunity has arisen for a Senior Service Support Officer to be recruited into the Corporate Service Support structure, on a full-time fixed term basis. About the Role: The role, although based within the Corporate Service Support Team, will be working with the Porth Cymorth Cynnar service and will provide administrative support to the new Flying Start expansion areas. Flying Start is a Welsh Government initiative which provides support and opportunities for families with children under the age of 4. The Senior Service Support Officer will be required to: Arrange and provide administrative support for steering group meetings, including agenda preparation, attendance management, and distribution of meeting documentation. Provide a comprehensive minute-taking service for a range of complex multi-agency meetings. Extract, analyse and present data using Microsoft Office suite, specifically Microsoft Excel. Support the Grant Programmes Co-ordinator in the creation and maintenance of childcare setting registers and assist with the processing of payments to childcare settings. Assist with the ongoing development of action plans for the Flying Start scheme. Accurately input, maintain and update data and information within specialised databases and information systems. Oversee generic email accounts on behalf of the service and action as required. Prepare and distribute documents under guidance of operational service. About the Candidate: The candidate will require a NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration qualification or have proven equivalent experience. You will need to have excellent IT skills as well as good numeric and analytical skills. The successful candidate will have the ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks in line with service needs. The following qualities are required for the post including: Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines Ability to analyse the impact of problems and prioritise Good numeric and analytical skills Understanding of data security and how that relates to data disclosures.
