ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER INTEGRATED RESEARCH AND INNOVATION PROGRAM ON KIDNEY CANCER: I.CARE - M/F
CONTEXT:
Within the urology department of the CHU Pellegrin in Bordeaux, Pr Bernhard, who is particularly invested in the development of innovative techniques and care pathways for the management of renal tumors, has implemented and coordinates the Integrated Research and innovation program on Kidney Cancer I.CaRe (www.icare-bordeaux.fr) which is composed of different structuring and virtuous axes:
- UroCCR is a multidisciplinary national medico-scientific network dedicated to the management and research of kidney cancer. The network relies on a Health Data Warehouse (EDS), deployed across 74 French centers (CHU, hospital centers, private centers, and CLCC), allowing for the continuous and secure acquisition of real-world data (clinical, biological, quality of life, PREMS/PROMS, and experimental results).
The development of the UroCCR Network is based on national governance involving the animation of partner establishments, the coordination of governance bodies, the management of the EDS, and the support of research projects relying on this infrastructure. This network has supported more than 280 ancillary studies, leading to more than 100 publications and more than 340 communications in national and international congresses. More than 220 research projects have been conducted within the framework of the Network with an average permanent active caseload of about twenty studies. These include retrospective projects on existing data, prospective interventional projects, or translational research.
- Digital Urology 3D Hospital-University Research Program associating members of the UroCCR network, industries, and academics. This project combines these skills with the latest technological advances (medical imaging processing, artificial intelligence, radiomics, virtual and augmented reality, 3D printing, surgical simulation) with a triple objective: to improve the quality of the surgical procedure itself; to improve patient experience and information; to improve surgical training through innovative patient-specific simulation methods.
- Technological innovations, notably the development of:
3D printing technology in clinical practice and teaching Image-guided robotic surgery The UroPREDICT artificial intelligence tool Laser technology for tissue cutting
- Digital innovations, notably the development of the UroConnect digital tool: peri-operative tele-monitoring application
- Structuring of innovative care pathways:
Enhanced post-operative rehabilitation protocols and outpatient management Innovative organizational experiments of the health system "innovation in health"
- Training
Implementation of the Robotic training center
