Tasks:
- Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team.
- Coordinate patient care.
- Evaluate patient care and progress.
- Implement an interdisciplinary plan of care.
- Interpret medical test results .
- Monitor patients and advise physician of any changes in patients' condition.
- Order medical diagnostic or clinical tests.
- Perform diagnostic tests.
- Plan patient care.
- Care for, assess and monitor the health of newborns and refer infants to appropriate medical services as required.
- Advise patients on health care.
- Examine patients and take their medical histories and consult with physicians and other medical practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health.
- Order laboratory tests, X-rays and other diagnostic procedures.
- Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments and take medical histories.
- Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
- Provide health maintenance education.
