Sub-project Manager Environmental Assessment
We are looking for a sub-project manager in environmental assessment for Trafikverket for the project Ny järnväg Göteborg–Borås and Bibana Mölnlycke. This is a consulting assignment. The stationing location is Göteborg. The position is full-time. The assignment involves close cooperation with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and the ability to collaborate.
The Assignment The assignment involves working as a sub-project manager for environmental assessment within Ny järnväg Göteborg–Borås and Bibana Mölnlycke, an extensive infrastructure project that includes the planning and construction of approximately six miles of railway. The role is part of the project management and is responsible for leading, managing, and following up on the environmental work with a focus on time, cost, content, and risks. A central responsibility is the work with environmental impact assessment (MKB), environmental review, as well as planning and permitting processes.
Tasks Lead, manage, and follow up on the work regarding environmental assessment and environmental review. Responsible for the preparation, delivery, and quality assurance of MKB. Drive the formal process linked to MKB to ensure an approved MKB and a legally binding railway plan. Responsible for other environmental reviews that may become relevant within the railway plan. Responsible for processes and products regarding environmental review. Manage and follow up on the work based on time, cost, content, and risks. Handle external contacts with the public, municipalities, and other stakeholders. Collaborate with other functions within the project management, including the overall project manager, sub-project manager railway plan, sub-project manager system document, and project engineer. If necessary, assist the department Järnväg syd within the business area Stora projekt within the framework of the assignment's capacity utilization. Transfer knowledge to Trafikverket's employees regarding the tasks performed within the assignment.
Requirements (Note, mandatory) You must have a university or college education of at least 180 hp in environment, natural sciences, urban planning, or road and water, alternatively other education in combination with experience deemed equivalent. You must have at least 15 years of relevant professional experience in leading, managing, and following up on work with environmental assessment and environmental review within complex infrastructure projects. Of these 15 years, you must have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the planning and permitting process in municipal or state urban planning processes for road or railway in projects exceeding 200 MSEK. You must have at least 10 years of experience as a generalist leading others in large infrastructure projects exceeding 200 MSEK. You must have at least 5 years of relevant experience working with environmental issues in the production phase of large infrastructure projects exceeding 200 MSEK. You must have documented knowledge of the permitting process within the miljöbalken. You must be proficient in English, both spoken and written, at a good level. You must be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, at a professional level. You must have a B-driver's license.
Meritorious Good understanding of working in the planning process and associated environmental assessment and permitting processes. Good understanding of leading the client organization and the assignment consultant within the environmental field. Good understanding of managing and following up on work within the environmental field towards set goals for time, cost, and content.
