*Job Overview*

Centex Petroleum is looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused *Car Wash Attendant* to join our team at our Westbank location.

The Car Wash Attendant will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and upkeep of the car wash facility, assisting customers with the car wash process, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring equipment is operating properly.

*This is not an automotive detailing position. The Car Wash Attendant is not responsible for manually washing or detailing customer vehicles.*

*Key Responsibilities*

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Guide customers on the proper use of the car wash and assist them when required.
• Monitor car wash operations to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Assist customers with car wash purchases, codes, payment-related questions, and basic operational issues.
• Keep the car wash bays, entrance, exit, equipment areas, and surrounding property clean and organized.
• Perform routine cleaning of car wash equipment, walls, floors, doors, and other facility areas.
• Remove garbage, debris, mud, and other buildup from the car wash and gas station.
• Refill soaps, chemicals, and other car wash supplies as required.
• Conduct routine visual inspections of car wash equipment and report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly to the site manager.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and reset equipment when trained and authorized to do so.
• Ensure the car wash remains safe and accessible for customers, including keeping walking and driving areas clear.
• Follow proper procedures for handling car wash chemicals and cleaning products.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels of car wash supplies and notify management when additional supplies are required.
• Follow all Centex health, safety, and operating procedures.
• Report equipment damage, customer incidents, safety concerns, or other issues to management.
• Assist with other reasonable duties related to the operation and maintenance of the car wash facility.

*Qualifications*

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate preferred.
• Previous car wash, retail, gas station, maintenance, or customer service experience is an asset.
• No automotive detailing experience is required.
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
• Comfortable working around water, cleaning chemicals, machinery, and moving vehicles.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, sweeping, and cleaning.
• Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
• Basic mechanical aptitude is an asset.

*Work Environment*

This is an on-site position in an active car wash environment. Employees should be comfortable working in *wet/damp and noisy conditions* and around cleaning products and equipment.

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
