Our leading Peterborough employer is looking to recruit a Packaging Technologist on a fulltime permanent basis. Working in a well-established team you will help develop, test and improve packaging materials to ensure products are safe, reliable, cost-effective and environmentally friendly.

Your tasks

Key Responsibilities of Packaging Technologist

• Develop and improve packaging designs and materials.
• Test packaging to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
• Work with suppliers to source suitable packaging materials.
• Ensure packaging complies with relevant industry regulations.
• Identify ways to reduce packaging waste and improve sustainability.
• Work closely with production, design and quality control teams.
• Keep accurate records of packaging tests and results.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Requirements

• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities.
• An interest in packaging design, materials and sustainability.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Relevant qualifications in packaging technology, materials science or a related subject are desirable.

To be considered for the role of Packaging Technologist you will have worked in a similar role within Manufacturing/food/fast paced industries. You will be able to manage multiple projects at anyone time and be able to communicate with customers but also internal stakeholders. The role is office-based Monday to Friday. The salary is dependent on Experience.
