pathologists' assistant

Seeking a veterinary technician assistant to work in a fast-paced general practice and emergency veterinary clinic. This is a full time position requiring open availability.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with handling/restraining of animals for exams & procedures.
• Work with the team to keep the clinic clean & organized.
• Walking dogs, cleaning litter boxes & feeding and watering animals.
• Properly positioning & handling animals for x-rays, ultrasounds, blood draws, IV catheter placement etc.
• Restocking supplies & putting supplies orders away.

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals and their owners

• Ability to work a set rotation of 4 days on and 4 days off from 7am to 5pm. This includes weekdays, weekends and holidays.
