We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Refuse Vehicle Loader to join our busy waste and recycling operation based in Deptford, South East London .

The Role
Working as part of a refuse collection crew, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste and recycling from our customers across London.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Working alongside the driver as part of a refuse collection crew
- Loading waste and recycling bins onto the refuse collection vehicle
- Safely operating the vehicle’s bin-lifting equipment
- Returning bins and containers safely to the correct collection points
- Assisting the driver when manoeuvring in restricted or busy areas
- Ensuring collections are completed safely and efficiently
- Reporting any access issues, contamination or damaged containers
- Keeping the vehicle and working areas clean and tidy
- Providing a professional and courteous service to our customers
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures
What We’re Looking For
Previous refuse collection, waste or recycling experience is preferred but not essential
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an active outdoor role
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable working in all weather conditions
- Good awareness of Health & Safety
- Able to work effectively as part of a small team
- Professional and respectful when dealing with customers and members of the public
- Flexible approach to working hours and overtime when required
