Warehouse Supervisor – AM Shift £32,000 – £34,000 + Benefits Chessington Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm
The Opportunity
Cast UK are working with a well-established Distributor to the Hospitality sector who are looking to appoint an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their operation in Chessington.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step in their career within a busy, fast-paced distribution environment.
Working on the AM shift, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:30pm, you will play a key role in ensuring the warehouse operates efficiently, safely and to a consistently high standard.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the warehouse operation, supporting the Warehouse Manager and leading a team to ensure customer orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supervising and motivating the warehouse team on a daily basis Allocating workloads and ensuring resources are used effectively Overseeing goods in, picking, packing and despatch operations Ensuring orders are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines Maintaining high standards of health & safety and warehouse housekeeping Monitoring productivity, accuracy and operational performance Supporting stock control and inventory accuracy Investigating and resolving operational issues Training and developing warehouse colleagues Working closely with other departments to ensure excellent customer service Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the warehouse
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or similar role Experience working within a fast-paced distribution or logistics environment Strong people management and leadership skills Good understanding of warehouse processes including goods in, picking and despatch Excellent organisational and communication skills A hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the front Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy# A good understanding of Health & Safety within a warehouse environment The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
Experience within hospitality, foodservice, catering equipment or distribution would be advantageous but is not essential.
