Video Editor
Our local SEO company is looking for a detail-focused editor to take our long-form YouTube videos from raw recording to finished video on a project basis. You'll edit with an AI agent connected to DaVinci Resolve through MCP.
Pay: Project-based for now, at $150 to $200 for a 35-minute video. You can see our recent videos on our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@toddandersonlocalseo
What you'll do:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from our founder's script and raw 4K recordings.
- Direct an AI agent (Claude Code or Codex) connected to DaVinci Resolve through MCP, along with our scripts, overnight renders and automated checks.
- Cut retakes, restarts and pauses on the audio while keeping the speaker's natural flow.
- Sync camera, screen and iPad recordings.
- Build the color grade in Resolve, including Magic Mask work.
- Create intros, animations, subtitles and call-to-action graphics to our written standards, using real screenshots first.
- Watch and listen to every final yourself before it goes to our founder for review.
- Turn each review note into a written rule or automated check so it never has to be given twice.
- Upload finished videos to Tella and prepare descriptions, chapters and tracking links.
What we're looking for:
- Strong DaVinci Resolve Studio experience is required, including the Color page, Fusion and Magic Mask.
- Hands-on experience with Claude Code, Codex or a similar AI agent is required.
- A portfolio of long-form talking-head or educational YouTube videos you edited yourself, including one over 20 minutes.
- Comfort in a terminal, with enough Git, Python and ffmpeg knowledge to work out why a script or check failed.
- A sharp ear for clipped words, doubled words and leftover pauses.
- Comfort working on a Mac with very large video files.
- Someone who follows detailed SOPs and takes direct, timestamped notes well.
- Someone who takes ownership and doesn't treat a passed check as proof that a video is good.
Experience using MCP with Resolve, motion design in Fusion, sound design, and knowledge of local SEO or home services are strong advantages.
To apply: Send links to three long-form videos you edited, what you did on each, and a short audio or video introduction sharing your Resolve experience, the AI tools you've used, one time an AI tool got something wrong and how you caught it, your availability, and your typical turnaround per video.
An audio or video introduction is required for your application to be considered.
