We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable Home Support Worker to provide in-home total care for an elderly client living with Parkinson?s disease. This role focuses on personal care, mobility support, companionship, and maintaining comfort and dignity in a private home setting. Training will be provided for specific care needs.
Duties
- Assist with *personal care* (bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming)
- Assist with *feeding and hydration*
- Support *mobility and transfers*, including use of a *ceiling lift*
- Repositioning and comfort care
- Provide *companionship and emotional support*
- *Light housekeeping related to care* (laundry, linens, tidying care area)
- Monitor condition and report changes to family
- Assist with appointments or outings as needed
Qualifications
- Experience in *home care, assisted living, hospice, or senior care* preferred
- Experience with *Parkinson?s disease or neurological conditions* an asset
- Physically capable of lifting and transfers
- Patient, flexible, dependable, and compassionate
- Comfortable using a *ceiling lift*
- Willingness to learn; *training provided for specific care needs*
- *Criminal record check required*
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8.0 ? 25.0 per week
