Preschool Chinese Teacher

Working Day: 5 Days Location: Bedok / Bukit Timah Responsibilities Deliver age-appropriate Mandarin lessons and early childhood learning programmes for children aged 18 months to 6 years. Plan and conduct Mandarin lessons using age-appropriate teaching materials, stories, songs, games and thematic activities. Support children’s development in listening, speaking and early literacy skills through engaging and play-based learning activities. Create a safe, positive and stimulating learning environment for children. Observe and document children’s learning and development, and maintain appropriate learning records and progress reports. Communicate professionally with parents regarding children’s learning, development and classroom experiences. Collaborate with English teachers and other teaching staff in planning school activities, celebrations and thematic programmes. Support children’s daily routines, well-being and classroom management. Maintain proper classroom records and documentation in accordance with centre procedures. Comply with applicable ECDA requirements, centre SOPs, health and safety requirements and other relevant regulations. Perform other duties related to teaching and classroom operations as assigned by the centre. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Education, or another relevant and recognised early childhood qualification. Strong spoken and written Mandarin proficiency, as the role involves delivering the Mandarin curriculum and supporting children’s Mandarin language development. Minimum 1 year of relevant preschool teaching experience. Good understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning. Patient, responsible and caring, with a genuine interest in supporting young children’s learning and development. Good communication and teamwork skills. Candidates with relevant ECDA L1 or L2 certification will be considered favourably, where applicable to the role. Montessori teaching experience or relevant training will be an advantage.
