About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Dubbing Mixer to join a busy post production team. You’ll record, tracklay, sound-design, mix and deliver longform and shortform content for broadcast, streaming and promotional projects. You’ll lead sessions with voice talent and production teams, keep projects moving to tight deadlines, and ensure every delivery meets high technical and creative standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead recording sessions with voice talent, producers and other stakeholders, both in person and remotely.
  • Tracklay, edit dialogue, sound-design, mix and deliver content across different languages, styles and genres.
  • Create mixes, stems and other audio elements for transmission and other uses.
  • Prepare sessions and confirm the correct media and materials are available.
  • Maintain quality control, accurate metadata and documentation, and consistent naming conventions.
  • Follow established workflows and operational procedures.
  • Keep stakeholders informed about project progress and any issues.
  • Work closely with bookings, edit assistants, editors and production colleagues.
  • Report technical issues with audio suites, hardware or software.

Skills and experience

  • Experience in audio post production for a broadcaster or post production facility.
  • Strong mixing, sound design, tracklaying and dialogue editing skills.
  • Experience with both longform and shortform content.
  • Experience leading client-attended mixing sessions and recording voiceover.
  • Advanced Pro Tools skills and experience with its plugins.
  • Experience working with an S6 console.
  • Familiarity with plugins such as Waves, RX, NUGEN and FabFilter.
  • Experience with remote recording platforms such as SessionLinkPro.
  • Experience mixing to EBU R128 and working with or creating full audio stems.
  • Knowledge of audio file formats, codecs and media workflows.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a calm, professional approach under pressure.
  • Knowledge of surround sound workflows, including Dolby Atmos, would be an advantage.
