The Career & Business Excellence System (CBES) is a non-profit organization that seeks to empower career professionals, corporate leaders, and business owners across multiple sectors and industries through direct mentoring, personal leadership development, and strategic initiatives.

CBES focuses on helping passionate and purposeful individuals achieve and sustain career and marketplace relevance while contributing to human capital development through professional insights, networking, mentorship, and leadership opportunities.

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

CBES MENTORING SUPPORT PROGRAM (MSP)

CBES is inviting applications for its Mentoring Support Program (MSP) a 6-month intensive mentorship journey designed to connect participants with experienced leaders in their fields.

The programme provides opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, industry engagement, skills development, networking, and meaningful professional connections. The MSP includes General & Industry Sessions, Capstone Projects, and access to the Global CBES Community.

We are currently accepting applications for:

VOLUNTEER MENTORS

Experienced professionals and industry leaders who are ready to share their knowledge, experience, and expertise and help others develop as professionals and future leaders.

MENTEES

Individuals who are ready to learn from experienced professionals, develop their skills, gain industry knowledge, and work toward their professional goals through structured mentorship.

PROGRAMME DETAILS

• Programme: CBES Mentoring Support Program (MSP)
• Duration: 6 Months
• Format: Online, with certain activities potentially requiring physical meetings where possible
• Cost: FREE no financial obligation to participate
• Programme Components: General Sessions & Industry Sessions
• Capstone Projects: Included as part of the MSP journey
• Community: Access to the Global CBES Community
• Selection: Applicants go through at least two interviews, or more, before selection
• Sector Selection: Applicants may apply for a maximum of two sectors/industries, but successful participants can only be admitted into one sector/industry per programme cycle.

VOLUNTEER MENTOR — ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a CBES Leader/Mentor, you will use your professional experience, industry knowledge, and leadership to help others develop personally and professionally.

Your role includes:

• Mentoring participants within your selected industry/sector
• Sharing professional experience, knowledge, and insights
• Supporting the personal and professional development of mentees
• Participating in the 6-month CBES programme
• Being ready to mentor in at least one industry/sector
• Providing guidance and support throughout the mentorship journey
• Selecting successful CBES mentees for potential short-term internship opportunities, where applicable.

VOLUNTEER MENTOR — QUALIFICATIONS

To become a CBES Leader/Mentor, you must:

• Have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in your present sector/industry
• Be committed to the 6-month CBES programme
• Be ready to mentor in at least one industry/sector
• Manage or lead an organization
• Be ready to select successful CBES mentees for short-term internships.

MENTEE — ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a CBES Programme Mentee, you will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and work toward your personal and professional development.

Your participation will involve:

• Engaging in the CBES mentoring programme
• Learning from experienced professionals in your selected sector
• Working toward goals established with your mentor
• Participating in programme activities and industry engagement
• Developing your professional knowledge and skills
• Completing the programme requirements, including the Capstone Project
• Being prepared for potential short-term internship opportunities after the programme.

PROGRAMME MENTEE — QUALIFICATIONS

To apply as a CBES Programme Mentee, you must:

• Have zero to a minimum of 3 months’ experience in your chosen industry/sector
• Select a maximum of two industries/sectors
• Be committed to the 6-month CBES programme
• Be committed to achieving the goals set by your mentor
• Be ready to undertake a short internship after the programme.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS GAIN

Upon successfully completing the CBES MSP, participants will:

• Receive a Certificate of Completion
• Join the CBES Global Alumni Network
• Have the opportunity to enjoy a short internship directly with their mentors, where requested by the mentor and subject to applicable terms and conditions
• Gain access to other beneficial opportunities that support programme participants.

FOR MENTORS

Mentors also have the opportunity to:

• Share their professional expertise and industry knowledge
• Help develop emerging professionals and future leaders
• Build meaningful professional connections
• Contribute to the CBES mentorship and human-capital-development mission
• Identify successful mentees for potential short-term internship opportunities.

FOR MENTEES

Mentees have the opportunity to:

• Learn directly from experienced professionals
• Gain professional insights and industry exposure
• Develop relevant skills
• Build their professional network
• Work toward goals set with their mentors
• Participate in Capstone Projects
• Access the CBES Global Alumni Network after successful completion.

The CBES Mentoring Support Program is FREE to participants. No financial obligation is required to participate.
