Google Cloud Data Engineer

Conversational English mandatory

To work in Guadalajara, Monterrey, CDMX, or Querétaro (3 days on-site and 2 days home office)

Professional with 4 to 7 years of experience in Data Engineering, specialized in the design, development, and optimization of data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Experience in building scalable solutions for data integration, processing, and analysis, supporting business decision-making through modern data and analytics architectures.

Main responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Cloud Data Fusion, Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataform, and Cloud Functions.
• Build and optimize data models, tables, views, and high-performance SQL queries for analytical and business intelligence platforms.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes ensuring data quality, availability, reliability, and performance.
• Design dimensional data models (Star Schema and Snowflake) to support analytical workloads and Data Warehouse solutions.
• Optimize BigQuery performance and costs through partitioning, clustering, and SQL query optimization strategies.
• Develop data integration and transformation processes using Python (or Java/Scala) and automate deployments through CI/CD practices and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Implement security controls, data governance, and access management through IAM and Google Cloud best practices.
