A great opportunity for an experienced finance professional to step into a broad Financial Controller position within an established and growing financial services business. This is a 12–13 month fixed-term opportunity, providing maternity cover while taking ownership of the day-to-day finance function and working closely with senior leadership. The role offers a broad remit across financial control, reporting, budgeting, forecasting and commercial analysis, alongside the opportunity to gain valuable experience within the Financial Planning / Wealth Management sector. The Role Oversee monthly management accounts, financial reporting, reconciliations and financial controls Manage budgets, forecasts and cash flow, providing insight to support decision-making Oversee adviser fee, commission and client income reconciliation Manage payroll, supplier payments, client invoicing and credit control Work with HR, external accountants and auditors on payroll, tax and statutory requirements Ensure financial processes remain compliant with FCA requirements and relevant legislation Provide commercial financial analysis and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and controls Support the Finance Director and senior leadership team with financial strategy, business growth and potential acquisitions

About You ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent experience Strong experience across financial reporting, management accounts and financial control Experience within financial services, wealth management, financial planning or an IFA environment would be advantageous Strong budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management experience Good understanding of FCA regulations and financial-services compliance Strong Excel and financial systems experience, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Confident working with senior stakeholders and providing commercially focused financial insight
