The Role

As a Senior Consultant within our Capital Markets practice, you will play a key role in the financial administration, governance, and operational management of the firm's global Market Data Services (MDS) environment . You will oversee the financial processing of approximately 8,500 vendor and exchange invoices annually while supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, inventory governance, and platform administration.

Working closely with Vendor Managers, Exchange Managers, Finance, Accounts Payable, Technology, Compliance, and business stakeholders, you will help ensure market data services are accurately billed, governed, optimized, and aligned with regulatory and financial controls.

What You'll Do

Manage market data financial operations, including invoice reconciliation, billing validation, accruals, forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, and General Ledger allocation across a global vendor portfolio.

Maintain and administer the Market Data Management (MDM) platform, ensuring inventory accuracy, entitlement administration, service ownership, regulatory reporting, onboarding/offboarding activities, and operational governance.

Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to resolve billing discrepancies, validate contracts and pricing, support audits, and improve financial transparency and cost management.

Produce recurring and ad hoc management reporting, spend analysis, variance reporting, operational metrics, and insights to support business and Finance decision-making.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance market data governance, financial controls, operational efficiency, and overall service quality.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a business, finance, accounting, economics, technology, or other numerate discipline.

5+ years of experience performing data analysis, large-volume reconciliations, financial reporting, and interpretation of complex datasets.

Demonstrated ability to lead initiatives and influence stakeholders across market data administration, financial operations, billing, accounting, or vendor management functions.

Experience working with Market Data Management (MDM) platforms (e.g., Calero).

Familiarity with ERP and Accounts Payable systems such as PeopleSoft or similar platforms.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access.

Knowledge of market data vendors, exchanges, and financial services operating environments.

Experience within capital markets, investment banking, asset management, or related financial services organizations.

Working knowledge of SQL and the ability to execute basic database queries to analyze and reconcile data.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively with large datasets.
