Team: Product & Design

Comp : $75,000–95,000 annually, depending on experience.

About the Role

We're looking for a curious, versatile Product & Web Designer to join our growing Product & Design team at Capacity Sports Group. You'll work across our digital ecosystem — from products used by athletes, parents, coaches, scouts, and operators to websites representing our brands, facilities, and businesses.

This is a great opportunity for a designer with strong foundations who wants to grow across both product and web design. You might design a product workflow, build or improve a website, explore a customer journey, or help solve a new digital experience challenge.

You don't need to have every answer on day one. We're looking for someone who asks thoughtful questions, wants to understand the customer and business behind the work, and is excited to take on greater ownership as they grow.

You'll work closely with the Head of Product & Design and collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and teams across the organization.

What You'll Do

Design digital experiences across CSG products, websites, and properties, from early exploration through launch and iteration

Translate customer and business needs into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished, production-ready UI

Design responsive web and mobile experiences while considering customer journeys, workflows, and edge cases

Build, manage, and improve websites using platforms such as Framer, Webflow, WordPress, or similar tools

Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and other stakeholders to bring experiences to life

Contribute to design systems and help create more consistent, accessible, and scalable experiences across CSG

Use research, customer feedback, analytics, and emerging tools — including AI-enabled workflows — to continuously improve our work

How You'll Work

We're a small team, so curiosity, initiative, and ownership matter. We don't expect you to know everything, but we do expect you to engage with the problem and develop your own point of view rather than waiting for every detail to be prescribed.

You'll be encouraged to:

Ask thoughtful questions and identify assumptions or gaps

Understand the problem before jumping into UI

Explore different approaches and explain your design decisions

Seek feedback early and collaborate closely with others

Research unfamiliar problems, tools, and approaches

Follow through on commitments and take increasing ownership as you grow

What We're Looking For

2 - 4 years of experience across product design, UX/UI design, web design, or a combination of these areas

A portfolio demonstrating strong design fundamentals across digital products, websites, or both

Strong visual, interaction, and UX design fundamentals

Proficiency in Figma

Experience designing responsive web and/or mobile experiences

Experience building or managing websites using Framer, Webflow, WordPress, or similar platforms

Familiarity with HTML and CSS; JavaScript knowledge is a plus

An interest in understanding how digital experiences are built, not just how they look

An understanding of responsive design, accessibility, usability, SEO, and web fundamentals

Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and learn within technical constraints

Curiosity about customer behavior and an interest in using feedback and data to improve experiences

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to take feedback, learn quickly, and apply what you learn to future work

Initiative and a willingness to work through ambiguity rather than waiting for every answer to be provided

Nice to Have

Experience with design systems or component libraries

Experience across multiple brands, websites, or digital properties

Familiarity with GA4, heatmapping, experimentation, or other analytics tools

Experience designing native or cross-platform mobile applications

Experience in sports, SaaS, marketplaces, media, or consumer products

Experience using AI-assisted design, prototyping, or development tools

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means:

You develop a strong understanding of CSG's customers, businesses, and products

You consistently deliver thoughtful, high-quality product and web design work

You ask good questions and increasingly identify gaps and opportunities on your own

You take well-defined work from problem through implementation with growing independence

Over time, you take ownership of increasingly complex product and website initiatives

You collaborate effectively across Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Operations

Your growth and ownership create more capacity for the Product & Design team to tackle larger initiatives

Why This Role Matters

Capacity Sports Group is continuing to grow across products, brands, facilities, and digital experiences.

As that ecosystem expands, we need designers who are excited to learn the business, solve meaningful problems, and grow alongside the organization.

This role offers unusual breadth early in your career. You'll have opportunities to work on digital products, mobile experiences, websites, design systems, and emerging initiatives across multiple sports and businesses.

You'll also have the opportunity to work closely with Product & Design leadership, receive mentorship, and gradually take on greater ownership as your skills and understanding grow.

Ultimately, we're looking for someone who is excited about becoming a strong multidisciplinary designer — someone who enjoys solving digital experience problems regardless of whether the final solution lives inside a product, an app, or a website.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
