Restaurant Canvas - on the seventh floor of Volkshotel - is looking for an enthusiastic and independent working cook. From early morning until late at night, Canvas is a place for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and cocktails. A meeting place where many different people cross paths. Do you enjoy working in a creative and international environment and do you have at least two years of relevant work experience? Then you might become our newest colleague. Are you:

• Living in Amsterdam (or surroundings)?
• Stress-resistant and at least 18 years old?
• Flexible, punctual, socially skilled, and do you speak English?
• Creative and do you enjoy the culinary profession with your HACCP in hand?

Job requirements

This is what your day looks like: A good stretch and flex before your shift? That's possible. All employees are allowed to participate for free in the weekly yoga classes of Volkshotel. Then you clock in and take the lift to the seventh floor. Then your shift begins; you enter the kitchen where, together with a team of driven colleagues, you ensure that our guests lack nothing. You prepare dishes according to the recipe and keep your work environment clean. You prepare orders through à la minute cooking activities, portioning, and garnishing according to established instructions regarding ingredients, recipes, working methods, and visual presentation. Staying around after your shift? You are not the only one, because working with a view over the city of Amsterdam is beautiful, but enjoying it yourself afterwards with a closing drink might be even more beautiful. ...
