Job Title: Manufacturing Planner Function: Manufacturing Planning Department: DCN APAC Mission The Manufacturing Planner is responsible for preparing,implementing, monitoring, and reporting production schedules to ensurematerials and capacity are available to meet customer requirements. This rolecoordinates production activities, manages workflow priorities, and supportscontinuous improvement to achieve on-time delivery and efficient manufacturingoperations. Key Responsibilities 1) Production Planning & Scheduling Plan and prepare production orders/requisitions for manufacturing. Define operation sequence and lead times to meet shipping and delivery commitments. Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, and related manufacturing operations to guide execution on the shop floor. Maintain and update MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) planning and scheduling parameters of materials/product. Review planned order reports and release production work orders/purchase requisition according to the agreed production plan. 2) Production Execution & Monitoring Manage planning and production execution data, including work orders/purchase orders, priorities, capacity constraints, and production monitoring inputs. Implement and maintain effective capacity management and production monitoring practices. Track production progress against schedule requirements and intervene as needed to maintain schedule compliance. Expedite delayed operations and adjust schedules to address constraints, disruptions, and unforeseen conditions. 3) Coordination & Communication Coordinate with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to ensure successful execution of the production schedule. Partner with production teams and procurement specialists to prioritize critical items and resolve blockers. Review customer backlog and align priorities to improve delivery performance. Provide routine updates to the project management team on production schedule status. Prepare and share shortage and backlog reports; escalate risks and potential interruptions to the Planning Manager. 4) Continuous Improvement Apply Manufacturing System principles and tools to drive continuous improvement. Identify opportunities and implement actions to reduce waste, shorten lead times, and lower operating costs. 5) Reporting Report scheduling, capacity, and production tracking data, statistics, and KPIs as defined by the Master Schedule policy. Experience & Exposure Experience in a Technology Center or Manufacturing Center environment. Exposure to demand planning and production workflow management. Knowledge of inventory management fundamentals. Practical experience using SAP systems. Required Skills Strong planning, organization, and analytical capability. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment. Effective cross-functional communication and coordination skills. Strong problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
