Job Summary

Prepare nutritious meals and manage kitchen operations to support the health and wellbeing of infants, children, and staff in a childcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals including breakfast, lunch, and snacks for infants and childcare children to meet their nutritional needs
• Order and manage kitchen ingredients and supplies to ensure availability and reduce waste
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the kitchen area to comply with health and safety standards
• Prepare meals for staff to support overall childcare center operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrated experience cooking for large groups, preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
• Knowledge of nutritional requirements for young children to ensure meal quality and appropriateness
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment to support safe food preparation
• Reliability and punctuality to ensure consistent meal service and kitchen operations
