Driven developer or architect

Now we are looking for a driven developer or architect for the platform team who wants to be part of leading, planning, and implementing Cambio's JBoss strategy and work closely with our partner Redhat. Cambio COSMIC uses JBoss as an application server, which means this third-party product is a key product for Cambio and our customers.

About Cambio COSMIC/The Platform

Cambio COSMIC is a comprehensive healthcare information system built on a modern and powerful platform. As part of the platform team, you will both participate in further developing and maintaining current components but also be involved in upcoming development projects and influence future technology choices and solutions. The platform team currently consists of both system architects with long experience as well as junior developers and is a team under expansion. Cambio COSMIC server parts are entirely written in Java. All layers in the system architecture are clearly separated, and Cambio COSMIC can be scaled out in all layers to support very large installations with tens of thousands of concurrent users. MS SQL Server is used as the database, and JBoss is used as the application server in the application layer. Cambio continuously further develops the underlying platform in Cambio COSMIC to always be able to offer a modern and stable business support. Our approach has always been to gradually further develop the technical platform in small steps to minimize business impact. JBoss has for a long time been the application server for COSMIC, and in recent years, a lot of work has been invested in upgrading from old community versions of JBoss to RedHat supported JBoss EAP versions, and the ambition is to constantly support the latest JBoss version.

Desirable qualifications

• Worked practically with JBoss for several years including installation, configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and development of JBoss applications.
• Very good knowledge of Java
• Experience of agile development and agile methods
• You should have good experience in integration work with other systems.
• Experience of other Java EE application servers such as Websphere or Weblogic is meritorious.
• Experience of typical support systems around software development, for example Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Nexus, Jira, SonarQube, and Docker.
• Experience of test automation, test driven development, continuous integration, and deployment.
• College or university education, likely in computer science or equivalent competence.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
