WATER TREATMENT TECHNICIAN

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing and maintenance of cooling tower and boiler water treatment systems .
• Perform on-site water testing and analysis, including pH, conductivity/TDS, hardness, alkalinity, chlorine/biocide residual, phosphate, sulphite and other relevant parameters.
• Monitor water quality and treatment performance against established operating parameters.
• Inspect and maintain chemical dosing pumps, dosing tanks, controllers, sensors and associated water treatment equipment .
• Replenish water treatment chemicals and adjust chemical dosing rates as required.
• Conduct routine inspection and basic maintenance of cooling tower water treatment systems.
• Perform boiler water, feedwater and condensate testing where applicable.
• Identify and report abnormal conditions such as scaling, corrosion, biological growth, abnormal conductivity or chemical dosing issues .
• Carry out basic troubleshooting of dosing pumps and water treatment equipment.
• Collect water samples for laboratory analysis when required.
• Prepare and maintain service reports, water analysis records and chemical consumption records .
• Handle, transport and store water treatment chemicals in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Comply with company and customer workplace safety, EHS and permit-to-work requirements .
• Liaise with customers' operations and maintenance personnel during servicing.
• Maintain company tools, water test kits and equipment in good working condition.
• Support other water treatment service and maintenance activities when required.

Requirements

• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving license is required due to regular travel between customer sites.
• Basic knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, chemical dosing systems or instrumentation is advantageous.
• Able to perform hands-on technical work at commercial and industrial customer sites.
• Able to perform basic water testing, record results and complete service reports.
• Able to handle water treatment chemicals safely with appropriate training and PPE.
• Able to work independently and manage assigned service schedules.
• Good safety awareness, responsible working attitude and willingness to learn.
