Configuration Management Engineer M/F - CAILabs

Join the Cailabs System Engineering team and take part in mastering its products throughout their entire lifecycle.

As a Configuration Management Engineer, you will be at the heart of the interfaces between engineering, industry, and support functions, with the mission of guaranteeing the consistency of configurations, versions, and product evolutions.

In this newly created position, you will have the opportunity to build and evolve configuration management practices, in close connection with teams possessing complementary expertise.

Reporting to the Head of the System Engineering department, you will operate within a multidisciplinary environment.

Your role consists notably in creating consistency between these different professions and facilitating the control of product evolutions throughout its lifecycle.

You are responsible for structuring, deploying, and driving product configuration management activities.

In this capacity, your main responsibilities are:

• Define and implement configuration management rules.
• Drive these rules among the various concerned professions.
• Ensure the consistency of Sales / Design / Manufactured / Maintained repositories.
• Manage the repository of versions, baselines, and instantiations.
• Manage product modification cycles (Engineering Change Requests - ECR).
• Manage impact analyses associated with evolutions and modifications.
• Deploy and maintain the product lifecycle management (PLM) tool.
• Ensure consistency and the interface between design and production repositories.
• Guarantee the update and maintenance of technical databases related to product configuration.

You have a technical background and possess solid experience that has allowed you to develop a good understanding of industrial products and their development cycles.

• Master's degree in Industrial Systems Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in industry, or Associate degree with more than 10 years of experience in industry.
• Strong product and system engineering culture (optics, electronics, mechatronics, software).
• Mastery of product configuration management, bills of materials, and versioning systems.
• Mastery of PLM / ERP tools.
• Experience in multidisciplinary environments.
• Experience in system architecture is an asset.
• An advanced level of English is expected.
