Your tasks

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and/or manual methods.
• Return dishes to their appropriate areas clean, dry, and undamaged.
• Perform regular cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Assist in cleaning coolers, freezers, and kitchen equipment as scheduled or directed.
• Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost appropriately and frequently.
• Maintain clean and safe floors and walkways during busy service periods.
• Ensure all equipment is shut down properly and the dish area is clean and stocked for the next shift.

Requirements

Qualifications

• 1 year of dishwashing experience in a restaurant setting preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of proper handling of cleaning chemicals is an asset, but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work Monday - Friday, with special event evenings required.
• This position could lead into a full-time position, depending on demand.
