Purchasing Manager

Your tasks

Job Mission Manage all company purchases (productive and non-productive goods), ensuring alignment with commercial and operational objectives. Continuously reduce costs: obtain new quotes, develop alternative suppliers, and avoid dependency on a single supplier.

Scope of Purchases

• Productive goods: Raw materials, components, turning and machining parts, electrical supplies, and spare parts.
• Non-productive goods: Cleaning supplies, pharmacy/first aid kit, PPE, stationery/office supplies, tools, maintenance, among others.

Main Responsibilities

1. Costs and suppliers (Main focus):

• Permanent request for quotes and comparison of at least 2 or 3 quotations before awarding relevant purchases.
• Development and maintenance of alternative suppliers by category.
• Execution of a cost reduction plan with measurable objectives.
• Negotiation of prices, terms, payment conditions, and quality (national and international suppliers).
• Management of import purchases (quotations, customs broker, forwarder, tracking, and costing).

1. Technical management of purchases:

• Interpretation of technical specifications (blueprints, materials, measurements, tolerances) for accurate quotations.
• Quotation and management of turning and machining work with external workshops.
• Validation of samples with user areas before approving new suppliers.

1. Supply, stock, and team:

• Supply planning, definition of minimum stocks, and reorder points.
• Issuance and follow-up of purchase orders until their administrative closure with Administration.
• Leadership of the Pañol and Warehouse team (reception, storage, internal deliveries, and stock accuracy).
• Reporting management indicators to Management (savings, price evolution, expenditure by area/category, compliance, and stockouts).

Requirements
