We are recruiting an International Transport Manager for an industrial company. As a true transport expert, you will guarantee the fluidity of flows, the performance of service providers, and the quality of service, while ensuring the compliance of operations on an international scale.
Your main missions
Manage international transport operations***Organize and coordinate multimodal international flows: road, rail, maritime, air, combined.
- Guarantee compliance with costs, deadlines, quality of service, and regulatory requirements.
- Anticipate needs and secure the continuity of flows.
Manage transport partners***Select, manage, and evaluate carriers and freight forwarders.
- Negotiate services and monitor their performance.
- Manage contingencies, disputes, and action plans.
Guarantee operational compliance***Supervise formalities related to international transport and customs exchanges.
- Ensure documentary compliance and data reliability.
- Control and validate transport invoices.
Optimize performance***Analyze performance indicators.
- Deploy continuous improvement actions for processes and organizations.
- Be proactive in proposing ways to improve the overall performance of the Supply Chain.
Profile Description:
Your profile***Coming from higher education in Transport, Logistics, or Supply Chain
- You have at least 10 years of experience in managing multimodal international transport, ideally in an industrial environment. You master multimodal flows. You are able to build and optimize a transport plan taking into account costs, deadlines, and risks.
- You have a good knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, customs, and regulatory constraints.
- You have implemented 'Known Consignor' status and AEO.
- You are fluent in English.
The position is located in the Rennes area.
