We are looking for a Senior SQL Server DBA to join the work team of one of our clients.
Modality: Hybrid - requires 2 office attendances per month. Requires availability to perform on-call shifts.
Working hours: 9:00 to 18:00.
Under employment relationship with C&S.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and update SQL Server software and related products in a Windows environment.
- Design, create, maintain, and guarantee the recoverability of SQL Server databases in a Windows environment.
- Assign storage systems and develop plans for future storage needs. Capacity planning.
- Establish effective database performance monitoring procedures.
- Control and monitor user access to databases and maintain their security.
- Provide reliable, recoverable, and scalable database computing environments to store and integrate company data.
- Responsible for 24/7 support of production databases.
- Establish and maintain documentation and standards. Implement Microsoft best practices, SQL cluster configurations, and maintenance.
Required Skills:
- Language level: Intermediate/advanced Oral English (daily activities are in English, including daily meetings with the team and the client).
- Have more than 5 years of experience in SQL Server database administration in a Windows environment.
- Experience as a database administrator (DBA) in enterprise environments, in a medium or large company, is required.
- Experience in the design and implementation of highly available and scalable SQL Server database solutions.
- Expert skills in SQL Server database backup and recovery.
- Experience with replication and AlwaysOn availability groups.
- Experience with SQL Server cluster replication.
- Solid Windows administration skills.
- Extensive experience in performance optimization.
- Experience using SQL Server for monitoring and administration.
- Experience in high-profile projects, with external projection, revenue-generating, and large-scale is valued.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
