Responsibilities and duties

The Buyer - Supplier Quality person will be responsible for:

Procurement Routines

• Conducting quotation processes, budget analysis, and commercial negotiations.
• Performing strategic and operational purchases, ensuring cost, deadline, and quality.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Executing TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) analysis and cost reduction opportunities.
• Managing purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and handling deviations (delays, shortages, discrepancies).

Acting in AQF – Supplier Quality

• Supporting and participating in the evaluation, qualification, and approval of new suppliers.
• Monitoring performance KPIs (OTD, PPM, quality indices, lead times).
• Acting in investigations and handling of Non-Conformities related to suppliers (8D, PDCA, corrective actions).
• Ensuring that suppliers meet technical, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality in the analysis of deviations, samples, reports, and inspections.

Integrated Acting (purchasing + quality)

• Acting as a bridge between Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Production.
• Participating in simultaneous technical and commercial analyses for sourcing definition.
• Evaluating supply risks, production capacity, and technical adherence of suppliers.
• Supporting feasibility analyses, material validation, and sample testing.
• Contributing to cost reduction projects, item standardization, and continuous improvement.

Requirements and qualifications

To occupy the Buyer position, you need:

• Higher education in Engineering (Production, Mechanical, Materials, Quality or similar), Administration, Supply Chain, or Foreign Trade;
• Solid experience in Purchasing, Supplier Quality, or hybrid positions.
• Mastery of quotation processes, budget analysis, negotiations, and contracts.
• Experience in audits, approval, and supplier evaluation.
• Knowledge of quality tools: 8D, Ishikawa, PDCA, PPAP (desirable).
• Advanced analytical capacity, organization, and good technical reading of specifications.
• Intermediate/advanced Excel;
• Experience in industry
• Mastery of cost analysis and value engineering.
• Knowledge of international supplier quality.
• Intermediate/advanced English.
• Experience in product development projects or new suppliers.
