Role Description The Remote Growth & Client Engagement Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Abakaliki, focused on increasing enrollment and strengthening relationships with prospective and current students. This role involves engaging with learners and community partners through calls, messages, meetings, and events to explain BYU-Pathway programs, clarify admissions and financial aid options, and support students through the application and onboarding process. The specialist collaborates with local Church leaders, organizations, and outreach channels to identify new audiences, build referral networks, and promote BYU-Pathway’s offerings. Daily responsibilities include tracking leads, maintaining accurate records, following up with interested students, and providing ongoing support to improve retention and student satisfaction. The role also contributes feedback on outreach strategies, helps refine communication materials, and participates in local gatherings to foster a welcoming, encouraging environment for learners. Qualifications
Ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and community partners, demonstrating empathy, active listening, and consistent follow-up. Written and verbal communication skills for presenting information clearly, responding to inquiries, and tailoring messages to diverse audiences. Organization and time-management capabilities to handle multiple leads, track engagement activities, and meet outreach and enrollment goals. Comfort with using digital tools and online platforms for communication, data entry, reporting, and basic customer relationship management. Experience in sales, outreach, advising, or client service roles, particularly in education or nonprofit contexts, is beneficial. Understanding of BYU-Pathway Worldwide’s mission and willingness to support learners in a Christ-centered educational environment. Ability to work on-site in Abakaliki, collaborate with local teams and leaders, and occasionally support evening or weekend activities as needed. Relevant postsecondary education or comparable professional experience in student services, community engagement, or related fields is preferred.
