Senior Full-Stack Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer to build the technology behind our next generation of digital products while improving the systems that support our business today. You will be a hands-on engineer who takes ideas from concept to production and owns meaningful technical decisions along the way. Our core stack includes Vue 3, TypeScript, AWSCDK, DynamoDB, SQL databases and serverless AWS services What You Will Do ·  Design, develop and deliverhigh-impact products and features from concept to production. ·  Modernise and strengthenexisting applications to improve their performance, reliability and long-termvalue. ·  Build frontend applicationsusing Vue 3 and TypeScript. ·  Develop backend services andAPIs using AWS serverless technologies. ·  Design and maintain cloudinfrastructure using AWS CDK. ·  Design scalable data modelsusing DynamoDB and SQL databases. ·  Contribute to technical standards, development practices and architecture principles that help the team build with confidence. ·  Improve engineering qualitythrough thoughtful code reviews, collaboration and knowledge sharing. ·  Improve system reliability,security, monitoring and performance. ·  Troubleshoot production issuesand implement long-term solutions. ·  Partner with business stakeholders to turn real operational needs into effective, scalable technical solutions. Requirements ·  5+ years of professionalsoftware engineering experience. ·  Demonstrated experience owning technical projects and contributing to architectural decisions. ·  Strong experience in full-stack software development. ·  Advanced knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript. ·  Strong experience with Vue 3 or another modern frontend framework such as React or Angular, with the ability to become productive in Vue 3. ·  Experience building backend services using Node.js and TypeScript. ·  Hands-on production experience with AWS CDK. ·  Strong experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway and DynamoDB. ·  Strong experience designing and working with SQL databases. ·  Good understanding of relational data modelling, indexing, joins, transactions and query optimisation. ·  Good understanding of serverless and event-driven architecture. ·  Experience with AWS services such as SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Step Functions, IAM and CloudWatch. ·  Strong understanding of RESTAPIs, authentication and authorisation. ·  Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and production deployments. ·  Ability to make sound architectural decisions and clearly communicate technical trade-offs. ·  Experience reviewing code and collaborating effectively with other engineers. Preferred Experience ·  Hands-on experience with Vue 3 and the Composition API. ·  Experience designing DynamoDB access patterns and secondary indexes. ·  Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or Amazon Aurora. ·  Experience implementing database migrations and schema changes. ·  Experience implementing reliable asynchronous workflows, retries and idempotency. ·  Experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright. ·  Experience integrating third-party or enterprise systems. ·  Experience with AWS Cognito or Microsoft Entra ID. ·  Experience using Codex or similar AI-assisted development tools.
