Logistics Operations Supervisor

Job opening for the Operations team of the Automotive Components Factory.

Responsibilities and duties

• Elaborate and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS), ensuring customer orders are met, production resources are available, and delivery deadlines are fulfilled.
• Lead daily and weekly production planning meetings, monitoring indicators, reviewing schedules, and adjusting programming according to operational needs.
• Administer production orders in SAP, performing creation, release, changes, monitoring, and closure, ensuring traceability and the integrity of production information.
• Continuously monitor production progress, identifying deviations, coordinating action plans, and implementing preventive mechanisms to minimize risks of delays or material unavailability.
• Develop material planning (MRP), issuing purchase requisitions in SAP, monitoring the acquisition process, and ensuring adequate supply for production.
• Manage inventory levels, promoting inventory optimization, reduction of obsolete materials, and improvement of operational efficiency.
• Monitor material consumption and the accuracy of the Bill of Materials (BOM), analyzing deviations and coordinating corrective actions with the responsible areas.
• Support the implementation of Engineering Change Notices (ECN), coordinating material substitution and ensuring an efficient transition without generating obsolescence.
• Monitor the international logistics of KD materials, monitoring shipments, identifying risks, and coordinating actions to ensure factory supply within established deadlines.
• Act in tax classification (NCM) processes, tax benefits, import, export, and customs clearance, preparing documentation, monitoring processes, and resolving eventual pending issues.
• Plan and manage local logistics operations, including internal and external transport, warehousing, and material movement, ensuring efficiency, safety, and support for industrial operations.
• Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of raw materials, components, semi-finished products, and finished products.
• Coordinate periodic inventories and stock reconciliations with global teams, ensuring consistency between physical and systemic records.
• Promote continuous improvement of the supply chain, developing initiatives for optimization of costs, deadlines, quality, productivity, and operational stability.
• Lead and develop the area's team, performing performance management, activity distribution, training, development, and promotion of a safe and disciplined environment.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education in Logistics, Administration, Production Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related fields.
• Solid experience in Production Planning and Control (PCP), Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, and Industrial Operations, preferably in large companies in the manufacturing segment.
• Experience with planning, implementation, and management of Smart Warehouses in industrial environments.
• Advanced knowledge in SAP, including modules related to production planning, materials, and logistics.
• Experience with MPS, MRP, production order management, inventory control, inventories, BOM, ECN, and continuous improvement processes.
• Knowledge in transport, warehousing, industrial packaging, international logistics, import, export, customs clearance, and tax classification (NCM).
• Familiarity with Value Stream Mapping and supply chain optimization tools.
• Ability to act at the interface between different areas, suppliers, carriers, and global teams, conducting the resolution of complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in preparing executive reports and daily interaction with international teams.
• Advanced or fluent English (reading, writing, and speaking), which is indispensable for daily communication with the team in China.
• Experience in team management, people development, and coordination of logistics and production operations.
• Availability to work on-site in Camaçari/BA.
