Job Mission To act in the promotion of a safe and sustainable work environment, ensuring risk prevention, fire protection, emergency management, and compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation, contributing to the continuity and efficiency of industrial operations.

• Develop, implement, and monitor Occupational Safety programs, procedures, and actions, focusing on fire prevention and firefighting.
• Perform risk assessments in industrial processes, facilities, and operations, proposing preventive and corrective measures to eliminate or mitigate risks.
• Prepare, review, and monitor fire prevention and firefighting projects and systems, including detection and alarm, hydrants, sprinklers, emergency lighting and signage, escape routes, and other protection systems.
• Act in industrial emergency management, supporting the response to incidents, fires, leaks, and other critical situations.
• Prepare, review, and keep updated the Emergency Response Plans (PAE), ensuring the organization's preparedness for crisis situations.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct emergency drills, evaluating the performance of teams, the fire brigade, and the effectiveness of protection procedures and systems.
• Act as a technical interface with the Corpo de Bombeiros and other regulatory bodies, monitoring licensing processes, inspections, issuance, and renewal of the AVCB and other legal documents.
• Perform periodic inspections of facilities and operations, verifying the compliance of safety and firefighting systems, as well as compliance with Normas Regulamentadoras and other legal requirements.
• Specify and monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (EPIs), Collective Protective Equipment (EPCs), and firefighting equipment.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and safety deviations, identifying causes, proposing corrective actions, and monitoring the implementation of action plans.
• Support the management of risks related to the storage, handling, and transport of chemical and flammable products, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor Occupational Health and Safety indicators, preparing technical reports and monitoring continuous improvement plans.
• Provide training, awareness campaigns, and capacity building on Occupational Safety, fire prevention and firefighting, emergency brigade, and area evacuation.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with Normas Regulamentadoras, current legislation, and Health, Safety, and Environment management systems.

Requirements and qualifications

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education in Engineering, with a Postgraduate degree in Engenharia de Segurança do Trabalho.
• Experience in Occupational Safety in industrial environments, with performance in fire prevention and firefighting, emergency management, and risk analysis.
• Knowledge of Normas Regulamentadoras (NRs), technical fire protection standards (ABNT and Corpo de Bombeiros), brigade management, drills, and Emergency Response Plans (PAE).
• Experience with Occupational Health and Safety management systems, preferably ISO 45001, and AVCB approval and renewal processes.
• Desirable specialization or certification in Fire Engineering, Fire Protection, or Emergency Management, as well as experience with firefighting system projects.
• Advanced English.
• Availability for on-site work in Camaçari – BA.
