Equipment Analyst

BYD's Division 15 is responsible for manufacturing essential automotive components for the company's vehicles, using highly automated production processes aligned with BYD's global quality standards. Located in the industrial complex of Camaçari/BA, the division plays a strategic role in the company's supply chain, contributing to innovation, operational efficiency, and excellence in the manufacturing of new energy vehicles.

We are looking for an Equipment Analyst to join the Production Department, responsible for ensuring the availability, reliability, and performance of the factory's industrial equipment. The professional will work on asset monitoring, failure analysis, improvement planning, and technical support to the Production, Maintenance, and Engineering teams, contributing to operational continuity and increased productive efficiency.

The position requires an analytical profile, problem-solving capacity, and a focus on continuous improvement, acting in the identification of opportunities to optimize equipment performance, reduce unplanned downtime, and increase the reliability of production processes. The professional will interface with different areas of the operation, supporting the implementation of new equipment, technologies, and maintenance standards, always aligned with the strategic objectives of BYD's Division 15.

Responsibilities and duties

• Monitor the performance and availability of industrial equipment, ensuring the continuity of production operations.
• Perform failure analyses, identifying root causes and proposing corrective and preventive actions to increase equipment reliability.
• Monitor the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans in conjunction with the Maintenance team.
• Analyze equipment performance indicators (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, availability, among others), preparing reports and proposing improvements.
• Participate in the installation, commissioning, validation, and start-up of new equipment and production lines.
• Prepare and update procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation related to the equipment.
• Work together with the Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance areas to optimize processes and eliminate operational losses.
• Support continuous improvement, automation, and productive efficiency increase projects.
• Ensure that equipment operates in compliance with safety, quality, and applicable technical standards requirements.
• Provide technical support in resolving operational problems and implementing improvements in production processes.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed Higher Education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Production Engineering, or related areas.
• Experience with management, maintenance, or analysis of industrial equipment, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
• Experience in analyzing equipment performance indicators (OEE, MTBF, MTTR, among others).
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting technical drawings, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably SAP PM, and Office Package.
• Advanced English required (reading, writing, and conversation);
• Analytical, proactive, organized profile with problem-solving skills.
• Availability to work on-site in Camaçari/BA.
