Junior/Mid-level Lawyer - Logistics Division

Responsibilities and duties

• Provide legal support to the Deployment Engineering team regarding project-related demands;
• Draft, review, negotiate, and monitor construction, service provision, supply, and equipment acquisition contracts;
• Analyze contracts and documents related to projects, identifying risks and proposing alternatives for their mitigation;
• Support Engineering in managing contracts with suppliers, service providers, and partners;
• Provide legal support in demands related to the deployment, construction, and operation of projects;
• Draft legal opinions, notifications, manifestations, and other necessary legal documents;
• Conduct legal research and monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may impact projects;
• Act as an interface with public bodies and regulatory entities, monitoring inspections, audits, presentation of documents, and regularization processes;
• Support the conduct of administrative processes and sanctions, including the drafting of defenses, appeals, and resolution strategies;
• Identify and monitor legal risks related to contracts, labor legislation, regulatory issues, licenses, and construction activities;
• Support compliance actions related to the area's activities, including anti-corruption, data protection, and applicable legislation;
• Manage and monitor demands conducted by external law firms;
• Guide the Engineering teams and other areas involved in projects regarding the legal aspects of activities;
• Translate legal issues into practical guidance and solutions applicable to projects;
• Monitor deadlines, documents, and legal pending matters related to deployment projects;
• Act in an integrated manner with national and international teams, contributing to the alignment between Engineering, Legal, suppliers, and other areas involved in deployment.

Requirements and qualifications

• Completed higher education degree in Law, with active registration in the Ordem dos Advogados do Brasil (OAB);
• 2 to 3 years of professional experience in the legal area, preferably with advisory and contractual experience;
• Knowledge of Civil and Corporate Law, especially in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts;
• Advanced English, with the ability to communicate and understand legal documents;
• Excellent communication, negotiation, organization, and interpersonal relationship skills;
• Business vision and the ability to analyze legal issues strategically, proposing practical solutions aligned with company objectives.

Desirable Requirements

• Postgraduate degree or specialization in Law, preferably in the areas of Corporate, Contract, Civil, Regulatory Law, or business-related fields;
• Experience or knowledge in Construction Law and contracts related to works, services, and equipment acquisition;
• Experience in companies in the industrial, civil construction, infrastructure, or multinational segments;
• Experience with public bodies, administrative processes, and regulatory issues;
• Experience with compliance, risk management, and legal audits;
• Experience in multinational or multicultural environments, especially in companies of Chinese origin;
• Knowledge of Mandarin will be considered a differentiator.
