Product Engineer - Product Planning (Sales Division)
1.Analyze Thai market trends, customer use cases, competitor products, and applicable requirements across passenger and commercial vehicles, including electric models. 2.Define product targets and variant content with R&D, covering performance, driving range or fuel economy, charging, safety, usability, connected features, and price positioning. 3.Benchmark vehicle specifications, features, pricing, and ownership needs to identify competitive gaps and recommend improvements. 4.Coordinate model and variant launch plans, confirm specifications and milestones, and resolve outstanding product decisions with relevant teams. 5.Provide accurate technical content and product benefits to Sales, Marketing, and Training teams for launch materials and dealer training. 6.Identify product risks through prototype reviews, customer feedback, and validation results; track actions and decisions before product release. 7.Prepare feasibility, cost, and value assessments for new models, trims, features, and localization proposals. 8.Plan and participate in local vehicle evaluations, including performance, ergonomics, braking, durability, charging, and real-world driving range where applicable. 9.Work with the Homologation team to identify DLT, TISI, OIE ECO Sticker, and Excise data requirements; align specifications, test evidence, and approved variants. 10.Review product claims and specifications in customer-facing materials with Sales and Marketing teams before publication. 11.Support local production readiness by comparing imported, pilot, and SOP specifications, parts, software, and supplier changes with approved product targets. 12.Investigate product issues with R&D, Quality, Factory, and Aftersales teams; follow corrective actions through validation. 13.Monitor automotive technologies, regulations, and competitor developments, and propose practical improvements for the Thai market. 14.Report product status, key trade-offs, risks, and decisions clearly to cross-functional teams and management.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in automotive product engineering or product planning. EV experience is preferred. Proficient in English (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing). Chinese language skills will be an advantage. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies. Strong understanding of passenger and commercial vehicle product development, specifications, and customer use cases. Knowledge of Thai vehicle regulations and ability to coordinate technical data with Homologation teams. Experience in vehicle evaluation or local production processes is preferred. Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail to ensure accurate and high-quality deliverables. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration. Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, technical challenges, and changing project requirements.
