About the role

As a Customer Service Adviser, you’ll be the first point of contact for our customers, handling inbound calls and supporting them with a wide range of queries.

You’ll listen carefully, provide clear and accurate information, and use your judgement to find the right solution. Whether you’re answering a straightforward question or helping someone with a more challenging issue, you’ll have the support of an experienced team around you.

This is an office-based role within our small, friendly contact centre, where teamwork is at the heart of what we do. You’ll work closely with colleagues, sharing knowledge and supporting each other to deliver great customer service and achieve our shared business KPIs.

Day to day, you will:

  • Take inbound customer calls and respond to enquiries clearly and professionally
  • Listen, troubleshoot and find the right solution for each customer
  • Keep customer information and records accurate and up to date
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve shared team goals
  • Play an important role in representing our organisation and our values

Hours of Work

20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 10am to 2pm. Please note we are open to discussing flexibility around working hours to suit you. This will be discussed at interview stage.

You’re someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people and understands what great customer service looks and feels like.

You’ll be warm, patient and empathetic, including when conversations are challenging. You’ll be able to adapt your approach to different customers, think on your feet and handle a variety of queries with confidence.

You don’t need to know everything from day one. We’ll provide you with comprehensive training, ongoing support from your team and opportunities to continue developing your skills.

  • A willingness to learn and develop
  • A collaborative approach to working as part of a team
  • Experience of working in a busy contact centre would be great, but we’re also interested in the skills and approach you can bring to the role
  • Experience of working in a busy call centre is preferred.

  • Starting salary of £13,993, increasing to £14,324 once training and probation are complete (usually 6 - 9 months) (FTE salary of £25,887, rising to £26,500)
