Infrastructure Operations Specialist

About the company

You will join a cross-functional team that manages the operation of infrastructure services for all business units globally. The position combines technical work and service management in operating systems, virtualization, storage, backup, patching, and vendor relations. You will be part of global identity, data center, and network programs.

Your tasks

• Operate and improve server infrastructure (VMware/Hyper-V, Windows Server, Linux, and storage) in a secure 24x7 environment.
• Maintain infrastructure security: patching, hardening, audit remediation, and vulnerability management (Qualys, WSUS, ManageEngine).
• Provide level 2 and 3 support, and act as an escalation point for EMEA and AMER teams.
• Define and improve monitoring, alerts, and business continuity processes (PRTG, Nagios).
• Automate and simplify processes with PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, and AI tools.
• Follow change and problem processes (ITIL) and ensure SLAs are met in each region and country.
• Manage vendors and collaborate with Applications, Security, Microsoft 365/Azure, Citrix, Networking, and Telecommunications teams.
• Participate in 24x7x365 on-call shifts, coordinated with global teams to cover all time zones.

Requirements

• More than 5 years as an infrastructure or systems engineer in corporate environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V, storage, Windows Server, and Linux.
• Experience in hardening, patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, or Ansible).
• Monitoring and alerts, and level 2 and 3 incident resolution.
• Knowledge of ITIL and production environments.
• Fluent English, as it is the daily working language with international teams.
• Degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or similar, or equivalent experience.

• Microsoft certifications (MCSA or similar), VMware (VCP), Linux, or security.
• Nutanix or Proxmox.
• Azure or AWS.
• Active Directory, DNS, Citrix, networks, and firewalls.
• Experience in regulated sectors such as insurance or banking.
