Cloud & Platform Engineer (DevSecOps & Operations)
Job position : CLOUD & PLATFORM ENGINEER (DEVSECOPS & OPERATIONS)
Contract Period: 1 year - Estimated Start Date: Nov or Dec 2026
Salary: $4,000 – $5,000 per month, depending on qualifications and relevant working experience.
Working Location: Hillview Link
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am to 5.30pm
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
- Manage the deployment, hosting and Operations & Sustainment (O&S) of PERSCOM-developed digital products, applications, microsites and internal web portals on approved Government cloud platforms.
- Configure, administer and maintain cloud hosting environments to ensure application availability, reliability, performance and scalability.
- Support deployment, release management and version control for new and enhanced digital products.
- Configure and maintain cloud resources, application hosting, storage and supporting platform services required for production applications.
- Support integration between digital products and approved Government systems through APIs and approved integration methods.
- Implement and maintain application security, user authentication and access controls in accordance with Government cybersecurity and ICT policies.
- Monitor application health, troubleshoot issues and perform incident resolution to minimise operational downtime.
- Perform software patching, platform upgrades, backup and recovery activities to ensure business continuity.
- Maintain source code repositories, deployment documentation and platform configuration records to support application lifecycle management.
- Work closely with the Digital Product Developer to deploy, operate and continuously improve production applications.
- Produce technical documentation, deployment guides, administrator manuals and Operations & Sustainment documentation.
- Conduct technical knowledge transfer to nominated PERSCOM personnel to support long-term sustainment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates or candidates with relevant internships, project portfolios or practical cloud, infrastructure or application support experience are encouraged to apply.
- Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Able to manage multiple cloud-hosted applications and support production environments.
- Able to work independently and communicate effectively with developers, vendors and business users.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Candidates should possess experience or working knowledge in one or more of the following:
Essential:
- Cloud platform fundamentals
- Cloud application deployment and management
- Application deployment and hosting
- REST API integration
- Basic networking concepts
- Version control tools (e.g. Git)
- Windows and/or Linux administration
Preferred:
- Microsoft Azure or Government-approved cloud platforms
- Domain and DNS management
- Application monitoring and troubleshooting
- Backup and recovery
- Microsoft Power Platform administration
- Python or PowerShell scripting
- DevSecOps practices
- Identity and Access Management (IAM)
- HTML/CSS and JavaScript (basic)
EXPERIENCE LEVEL
Entry to Mid-level with relevant working/internship experience. Experience working or interning in government ministries or statutory boards would be an advantage.
Candidates will be assessed based on technical competency, practical experience, project portfolio, learning agility and ability to support production cloud platforms and digital applications, rather than years of experience alone.
