Town Planner

Location: Near Preston, Lancashire. Hybrid, mix of home and office

An established and growing chartered surveyors and planning consultancy near Preston is looking to appoint a experienced Town Planner to join and help drive its planning team. The practice acts for a broad client base, from private individuals to national companies, and has built a strong reputation across the Northwest for the quality of its advice. This is a role with real autonomy and a varied caseload, in a firm known as a friendly, supportive place with a genuine focus on work life balance and developing its people. The role Manage your own caseload of planning applications from submission through to determination Advise clients on development potential, planning risk and strategy Prepare and oversee planning statements, appeals and supporting documents Lead on site appraisals and represent clients with local planning authorities Support and mentor junior members of the planning team What we're looking for MRTPI chartered, with an RTPI accredited degree or master's A track record in private consultancy, taking applications through to determination Confident managing your own caseload and dealing directly with clients Strong written, analytical and communication skills, and good commercial judgement A full driving licence What's on offer A competitive benefits package A varied caseload and genuine autonomy Hybrid working and a manageable workload Clear progression in a growing practice that invests in its people
