This role is oriented towards a specialist responsible for the continuous monitoring of public conversation and reputational signals for international market clients. During the night shift, you must provide real-time follow-up on relevant mentions, identify emerging narratives, differentiate critical signals from operational noise, and timely escalate any findings to the team that require immediate client attention.
100% remote work from Bogotá, with direct exposure to global brands and an international team from the first month.
Indispensable requirement: Availability to work night shifts and weekends.
PROFILE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education:
- Professional or student in the final semesters of Social Communication, Journalism, Political Science, Advertising, International Relations, or related fields.
- Complementary training in data analytics, social listening, or public opinion research is valued.
Experience:
- 6 months to 1 year in media monitoring, social listening, public opinion analysis, community management, digital newsroom, or communications consulting.
- Provable experience operating social listening software such as Brandwatch, Talkwalker, or Sprinklr.
Technical knowledge:
- Excel and Google Sheets.
- Knowledge of boolean queries.
- Desirable: Looker Studio or Power BI for basic visualization.
Indispensable conditions:
- Real and sustained availability to work night shifts, including rotating weekends.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Narrative identification: ability to interpret the development of public conversations and recognize discursive patterns beyond isolated mentions.
- Rigorous classification: consistent criteria for labeling mentions under the same analysis parameters over time.
- Editorial judgment: ability to evaluate the relevance of a publication according to its context, potential reach, actors involved, and possible reputational impact.
Activities you will perform:
Real-time monitoring:
- Continuously monitor brand mentions, competition, and sensitive topics on social networks, digital media, forums, and communities during the assigned shift.
- Apply the severity criteria defined by the client to classify each mention (informative, attention, critical).
- Detect emerging narratives: not just the volume, but the framework from which the brand is being discussed and who is driving it.
- Identify anomalous growth patterns in volume or changes in sentiment that may anticipate a crisis.
Alerts and escalation:
- Report critical alerts to the team in English, following the escalation protocol and within the agreed SLAs.
- Draft clear and actionable alerts: what happened, where, since when, what is the magnitude, who is amplifying it, and what is happening now.
- Maintain a traceable record of each alert issued, its classification, and its resolution.
Data classification and structuring:
- Tag and categorize mentions consistently according to each client's taxonomies.
- Ensure cleanliness and consistency of the data that feeds subsequent dashboards and reports.
Reporting:
- Prepare the end-of-shift wrap-up with findings, alerts issued, and topics to observe in the next shift.
- Provide the qualitative context that dashboards do not capture: tone, relevant actors, political or cultural subtext.
